Continuations for Remote Objects Control

چکیده
We have recently introduced the ”continuation semantics for concurrency” (CSC) technique in an attempt to exploit the benefits of using continuations in concurrent systems development. CSC is a general technique for denotational semantics which provides excellent flexibility in the compositional modeling of concurrent control concepts. In this paper, we present a denotational semantics designed with CSC for a distributed languages incorporating two control concepts which have not been modeled denotationally before: remote object (process) destruction, and cloning.

Value Transforming Style
A new program transformation is presented that allows to remove control operators related to partial continuations. The basis for the transformation is to adopt an improved representation for continuations that makes frames apparent. Various examples of control operators with or without dynamic extent stress are presented. Scheme IEE91], ooers rst-class continuations with indeenite extent. Pion...
متن کامل3D Modelling of Under Ground Burried Objects Based on Ground Penetration Radar
There is a growing demand for mapping and 3D modelling of buried objects such as pipelines, agricultural hetitage, landmines and other buried objects. Usually, large scale and high resolution maps from these objects are needed. Manually map generation and modeling of these objects are cost and time consuming and is dependent on lots of resources. Therefore, automating the subsurface mapping and...
متن کاملContinuations for Prototyping Concurrent Languages
We have recently introduced the “continuation semantics for concurrency” (CSC) technique in an attempt to exploit the benefits of using continuations in concurrent systems development. In the CSC approach, a continuation is an application-dependent configuration of computations (partially evaluated denotations). Every computation or group of computations contained in a continuation can be acces...
متن کاملKohonen Self Organizing for Automatic Identification of Cartographic Objects
Automatic identification and localization of cartographic objects in aerial and satellite images have gained increasing attention in recent years in digital photogrammetry and remote sensing. Although the automatic extraction of man made objects in essence is still an unresolved issue, the man made objects can be extracted from aerial photos and satellite images. Recently, the high-resolution s...
متن کاملContinuations and threads: Expressing machine concurrency directly in advanced languages
It is well known [Wand] that concurrency can be expressed within languages that provide a continuation type. However, a number of misconceptions persist regarding the relationship between threads and continuations. I discuss the proper relationship between these two objects, and present a model for directly expressing concurrency using continuations. The model is designed to support systems pro...
